The College Life

Today I officially started college and thus far, I really like it. I'm taking two classes in person (English and Mathematics) and I am taking three classes online (Art, Introduction to Computers, College Success). One thing I have discovered thus far is that one must be organized when taking online courses. I have successfully delegated all of my work for the next two weeks on a calendar and I have it spread out to where I am working on three assignments per day. I have to say that I really enjoy having the luxury of knowing what all my assignments are and when they are due for the whole semester. I noticed that in my mathematics class today, I was the youngest person in the class which was a bit awkward in the beginning, but towards the end of class I found myself to be comfortable.

"Fear Not, I am with you, I am your God"

Today, I listened to a really powerful sermon by John piper which is very encouraging to me. I am at a very unique point in my life right now. There has been many changes and challenges, but as Romans 8:28 ESV states "all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose." I am certainly thankful to have Christ and to be where I am today. I have received so many undeserved blessings over my past eight months as a christian. There have been some instances when I have actually felt anxious and worried about my new life. It is so reassuring in Isiah 41:13 "For I, the Lord your God, hold your right hand; it is I who say to you, “Fear not, I am the one who helps you.” My purpose of establishing this blog is to examine the gospel and express my progress in learning it. I hope to keep it updated on a daily basis, so stay tuned for more posts!
